Thank You to Everyone and Roadmap
Howdy Frisbros,
This is just a quick post to say thank you to all of you for downloading the game. Your reception has been incredible, and I'm really grateful to everyone that donated and wishlisted. That means a lot to me and is extremely encouraging as a developer!
As a side note to anyone reading this who doesn't own the game, it is totally free to claim until March 18. Download it and keep it forever!
As for updates to the game itself, I don't have any news as I have been away way and won't be able to work on it for a couple more weeks, but when I return the roadmap is as follows.
My top priority will be to balance the rating system because it is currently unscaled. In casual mode I intend to fine tune the amount of drops allowed to get five stars on every level since it is tied to unlocking rewards, and right now it feels too difficult. Heck, I cant even get a single star on some of the later levels so that's a bad sign.
After that, r/discgolf has provided me a great deal of inspiration for unlockable emotes, so I will be doing voice recordings for those and implementing them into the game. If you have unlocked any of them, they will remain unlocked in the game and the placeholder emotes will be swapped out for real ones which are hopefully more fristastic.
Finally, I need to give some love to the leaderboards and other game modes. I'm not satisfied with the networking/ui code I have implemented for them and would like to increase engagement with that part of the game. My dream is to have it filled with top scores that I could never hope to beat for all the levels.
