Small update - Progressing
I've hit my first week in a long time where it's going to be a small update. Not much to talk about because it feels like everyone has their heads down in what they're doing. I think the biggest update is that Ref got the first boss done! It's a big chonker that tends graves and throws rocks at his enemies. I can't wait for people to see his transformations in action.
As for me, I've been working on an interactive tutorial system to help onboard new players. Not much to talk about yet because I'm still wrapping it up but it's coming along nicely. The goal is to onboard a new player at the beginning of a match and then let them play the round without swapping out to a new scene. Hopefully this will increase engagement as it encourages players to try out every ability they have at their disposal before playing.
Next week I'm going to work on fixing up the tutorial system so it's a bit more stylish and sleek, then hopefully start inputting the second boss!
