New Gameplay
This week I'm keeping my dev log short! I just wanted to announce that with the final changes, the game is now "demo-complete". With this update I've added the evolution system along with quality of life and accessibility changes to my fellow survivors. This week was all about releasing, and now the demo is ready!
Major Changes
With this new release it's all about evolutions. Combine your power ups and evolve them into their ultimate form. There are 10 evolutions to discover and plenty more coming with the full release. I'm excited to let the survivors discover them for themselves!
Art
This week it all came together. While Ref was working on the level 3 artwork, Daniel Lyske https://www.artstation.com/daniellieske was able to update the cover art for both the steam and itch.io pages. I think it adds a fantastic amount of action and artwork to the game and I'm excited to have it showcase the game to a wider audience.
Release On Steam
As of writing this, I've also submitted Bloodmoon Survivors for review on Steam this week, so I'm expecting to have a page up in a couple of days. I'm hoping the review process doesn't find anything wrong with it! The release will support both Windows and Mac, and all progress made in the Demo of the game will port over to the full release, including achievements!
Next Week
This week has been focused on releasing, which I was not expected but decided to ride the wave. Next week I will be dealing with more game-related issues such as balancing the difficulty and fixing bugs, which I'm sure will be discovered.
Till next time!
