Short Update

As promised, this has been a very busy week for me.  I got married this week, which has definitely (and in a good way) put game dev on hold.  So this week will definitely be a quick up date, but lets get into it.

Art

Red has been working on more bosses and will be doing so for the foreseeable future haha.  This week we managed to wrap up the 3rd level straw man boss, who is a towering, flaming scarecrow.  I really like the design and can't wait to show him off.  We made some custom attack pattern designs to go with it to make it look like he's burning down everything he touches

Very scary.  I love how it sells the feeling of truly the entire farm is an inferno.

Music

On the music side, juan has produced a new track for level 4! This track is very interesting as it breaks the mold of all the other tracks we've created, but I really love the design.  It's fast, kind of metal, and definitely furious.  It really makes me want to kill some servants of the blood moon.

Programming

Not much in this department! All I've done is add some more accessibility options for players such as auto aim, and disabling damage numbers.  The only other good news is that we've been having more people enter the discord channel! Which is always exciting.  I have a new section for feedback, which some players have been filing with bugs or balance improvements that they recommend.  Thanks so much! this is the best way to get feedback and I'll be handling each and everything thing I  can in the coming weeks.  This is when the game really gets sharpened to a razor's edge :D

Next Week

Next week I will be focusing more on the feedback I've been getting and really working on sharpening the game's demo.  I think the key feedback is the demo's progression needs to feel better, I want the player to have better goals and really feel like they make progress between runs.  I'll be rebalancing elements, and tweaking the difficulty for new plays as well!
