Artwork Overhaul and Level Generation

Over the past several months, I have implemented the game's essential features and committed to giving it a new coat of paint.  From the development side, I have refined the shooting mechanics, added controller support, overhauled the UI, added procedural generation, implemented a full working questing and dialogue system, and got the game running at a consistent FPS to boot.  Phew.

But as exciting as all of that is to me as a developer, none of it means anything to someone playing the game until they see it in action.  Emphasis on SEE.  To that end the game was severely lacking any sort of artwork which was a major sore spot, even to me as I endlessly play tested it.  That's why I decided it was time to start recruiting.

Recently, I found an artist that I really like and have started working with him to flesh out the games artwork.  We have started to give the game the graphical overhaul it deserves, which means no more developer assets! This, at least to me, felt like the final step in making the game feel like a real game.  We still have plenty of work to do to get everything up and running, but I'm excited to announce that I will soon have a new build coming out with all of the new systems and a fully playable, procedurally generated level.    In the mean time, here are a couple screen shots of the game  feel that we are going for.  Hope you guys are excited about the style as I am!
